A Baker-Made Breakfast

Panera Bread operates 1,300 bakery-cafes in 40 states in the U.S. and Canada. Every day, at every location, trained bakers craft and bake from scratch, using the best ingredients. And, they put that same attention to detail and passion for goodness into everything on their cafe menu.
As an agency partner, Mitre works closely with Panera to create messaging and visual tone for their retail “Celebrations” – a way of promoting the foods for the season. To kick off the first Celebration of the year, Panera introduced a new breakfast line up of gourmet coffees and grilled breakfast sandwiches. The promotion was designed to resonate with the existing breakfast customer base and introduce their hand-crafted breakfast to their larger lunch crowd. Mitre developed breakfast-branded promotions, POS and packaging to be used throughout the day to remind people what they’ve been missing.

Congrats on the award for the Panera work. I am actually the freelance copywriter who wrote this for this breakfast launch…but we never met as I was working through Panera back and forth to Mitre…. I have worked on many celebrations, naming projects, loyalty programs and so on for Panera… most recently the Share a moment, Celebrate the season in the cafe’s today… We should connect….
